Welcome To A Word Crafter’s Blog

I don’t know how you got here but I am glad you stopped by.

My Journey

Throughout my life I have been on a journey – a journey to find my true passion in life is and to realize as much of my potential as I can.  On this journey I have found that I have become a student.  One significant mentor in my life encouraged me to be a student of Life Long Learning.  That’s what I have become.  Along the way I have studied many different subjects.  It truly is amazing how much I have learned.

I guess that for some it may have been easy to find their true passion in life.  For me it has been challenging.  I have been interested in many different areas.  At different times I thought that I had finally found my ideal work only to discover later that while I liked what I was doing, it really was not me.  I also was not really passionate about it.

I have been led to believe that when a person finds what they are truly passionate about, they will spend hours working at it without realizing how much time has passed.  They start to work and suddenly realize that quite a bit of time has passed with no idea of where the time went.  The work is totally engrossing.  The entire time spent has been totally fulfilling and joyful.

My True Passion

I believe that I have finally found my true passion.  The strange thing is that it has been right in front of me all of the time.  I worked at it constantly.  However, it was always while I was doing other work.  I never realized that I was drawn to do that and that I should develop my potential in that field.  My true passion is writing.

Funny but in grade school and high school I never really cared to write.  In college I majored in English.  However I majored in it because I thought that I wanted to be a lawyer.  I was told that since there were no prelaw degrees, English would be a great preparation for Law School.  After I got my undergraduate degree, life got in the way and I never made it to Law School.

Throughout my work life I have been writing on a regular basis.  Recently when I looked back over the various jobs I have had, I realized that the times I have been most alive have been when I have been writing.

Now I am looking at developing my writing potential as full as I can.

What Can You Expect?

Here on this Blog I plan to share notes, comments and observations of what I have learned, seen and heard from my journey.  I hope that you enjoy what I share.  Maybe in some small way you will benefit from what you read.  If you ever have any comments, please feel free to share them with me.  I look forward to receiving them from you.
